Project: Artificial Grass at Fitness Club, Lancashire

Client: Community Interest Company, Great Harwood, Lancashire

Product: Artificial grass, 15mm pile height

Area: 125m2

Background:

Based in Great Harwood, Be Strong. Eat. Move. Live. is a not-for-profit community organisation dedicated to helping people to stay fit and well.

The organisation contacted us when it was preparing to open its new venue, from which it would offer weight-loss coaching at affordable prices. Part of the plan included creating a durable indoor lawn that would be suitable for a variety of physical activities and exercises.

The Project:

After a consultation and site visit, and being mindful of the client's strict budgetary constraints, we installed a 15mm MUGA (Multi-Use Games Area) artificial grass over an 18mm shock-pad. The underlay and grass were cut to fit and jointed, where required, ready for the new indoor surface to be used.

Result:

We completed the installation on time and on budget, giving the organisation a hardwearing cushioned flooring surface that is suitable for all manners of fitness activities.
